key passage

"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away, behold, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17

lesson

A Cheerful Giver | 2 Corinthians 8:1-15; 9:6-15

Paul thanks God for the most wonderful gift of all. God has been merciful and generous to us. He gave us the greatest gift-His own Son. Jesus showed us what generosity looks like when He gave up His life to save us from sin. God is generous to su, so we can be generous to others.

Questions for family discussion

1. God doesn’t need our money. Why do you think He wants us to give?

2. What attitude should we have about giving? Why?

3. To whom do all things ultimately belong?

We have an offering time during the Kids Worship time in Kids Rock. It’s important for kids to earn some money and then give back to the Lord. We stress to the kids in Kids Rock that it needs to be money that they have earned and that the Lord has been generous with us and we should be generous with all our gifts. Have a blessed week!
