Yes, we have indeed started a blog. Now you may be asking yourself, “Do I really need another blog in my life?” I know, I know. We live in a world of information where we have to spend as much if not more time limiting our intake than seeking anything new.
So why do we think we need to add our voice to your world? Two reasons. First, for most of you, we’re family. God has brought us together as Rock Point Church to be His local people in central Indiana. So, in a very real sense, this is a family blog. Each of these posts will be crafted by our church family and primarily for our church family. This blog will be local –– it will be about events, resources, happenings, ideas, etc. –– that are taking place in our local context and that are being utilized by families in our church. Personally, we want this. These are posts we want to read, and ones we recognize we so often need.
And that brings us to the second reason. Our Kids Rock ministry has been designed for this purpose. Not to do a blog, but to come alongside parents, grandparents, and families and help equip them for the incredible joy and challenge of raising up their kids in Christ. We are passionate about partnering with families as they train their kids in the truth of God’s Word and as they point them continually to the glory and goodness of Jesus Christ. Thus, even if you don’t call Rock Point Church home, we pray you’ll still find these posts beneficial and join us week after week as we seek together to “tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders” (Psalm 78:4b).
Sound interesting? Want to partner with us in this journey of discipling our families? Then bookmark this page, subscribe to the blog, and share this post and others with your families, friends, and neighbors on social media and other avenues. And of course, feel free to comment with thoughts, questions, and topics you want us to discuss in the future. We’d be thrilled to hear from you. Know that you are loved and that you are being prayed for.

I am the Discipleship Pastor at Rock Point and a current PhD student at Southern Seminary. I am the father of an energetic, slightly crazy, talkative, and hilarious little man, Carson Nolan. Thankfully, he has an incredible mom, my patient and truly kind wife, Stephanie. Expect my posts to reflect our parenting endeavor and to often be a little on the nerdy side.
