KIDS ROCK U Spring 2018: The Bible

“Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, “Israel, listen to the statutes and ordinances I am proclaiming as you hear them today.  Learn and follow them carefully.” | Deuteronomy 5: 1

Hoping all had a wonderful Christmas season and looking forward to a refreshing New Year connecting with our Lord Jesus Christ in a more intimate “sold out” way. Our kids also need to further their knowledge of Christ, in their heart and in their everyday knowledge. The Children’s department has just the place for your child to build upon Sunday mornings…KIDS ROCK U.

KIDS ROCK U begins on January 14 and continues January 21, 28, off for the Super Bowl, then finishes up February 11, 18, and 25.  Times for the six classes are 4:30-5:30.

We are very excited about the topic that KIDS ROCK U will be covering. As we adults are getting down to the basics of the Gospel in our daily devotions this next year, we will be teaching our children the “how” and “why” of the Bible. Below are the concepts to be covered…

  • January 14: Why Is the Bible True?
  • January 21: Why Do We Need the Bible?
  • January 28: Why Did God Give Us the Bible?
  • February 11: How Should We Respond to the Bible?
  • February 18: Why Should I Study and Memorize the Bible?
  • February 25: Why Is the Bible Important?

I’m so excited to see the growth of the kids in their how and why knowledge of the Bible. The Children’s Department will also be focusing on the memorization of the Books of the New Testament to go along with our KIDS ROCK U study.

“Now this is the commandment-the statutes and the rules-that the LORD your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, that you may fear the LORD your God, you and your son and your son’s son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be long.” | Deuteronomy 6: 1-2

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and firmly believed.  You know those who taught you, and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.  All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” | 2 Timothy 3: 15-17
